Chemical Foaming Agents are used in extrusion applications for the production of plastic resin manufactured parts. The benefits of these additives range from the reduction of manufacturing costs as extruder temperatures can be reduced by as much as 10-18% while also reducing the weight of the finished goods; factors that reduce vehicle weight (ie- gas mileage) in the automotive market and the ultimate costs of finished resin products. These foaming agents may also improve the appearance of aesthetic finished parts while maintaining their structural integrity.

HCPS offers processing services for the blending and milling of Chemical Foaming Agents with the Vrieco Nauta series of blenders and our Mikro ACM milling systems. These systems can produce powders in a multitude of particle sizes from 100µm to 10µm to meet the customer’s varied specifications.
